Christian Calabro

Christian started his professional career as a graphic designer at Verve records after graduating School of Visual Arts in New York in 1998. After one year, he gave up his position to build, develop and manage the Feather Factory, a work and event space which became a staple of the emerging artist community in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Over the next decade, he continued to freelance for labels such as Epic, Columbia, Warner, Atlantic amongst others, designing artwork for Depeche Mode, Rage Against the Machine, Tony Bennett, Michael Jackson and many more. His award winning work has been published across the globe and earned international acclaim including the introduction to the renowned permanent collection of ZHdK (Museum fuer Gestaltung) and multiple Grammy nominations. In order to focus entirely on his own art, Christian relocated from Brooklyn to Manhattans Lower East Side in June 2011. This change, along with the desire to work less digitally but more analog re-awakened his passion for collage and assemblage, which he started to pursue again at warp speed.
